Welcome to APTEA

APTEA (Administrative Professionals and Technical Employees Association) members are part of The City of Calgary’s professional network of management-exempt employees. The volunteer-run association advocates and represents management-exempt staff and associated positions.

Since 1950, APTEA has been representing and advocating for matters outlined in the Exempt Staff policy.

APTEA’s leadership consists of a Board of Directors-at-large who fulfill the association’s mandates and policies with regular member input throughout each year. Annual General Meetings are opportunities for members to voice their opinions concerning matters affecting them.

City employees enjoy the benefits of membership including social and networking events, learning opportunities, resources, and MEBAC (Municipal Employees Benefit Association of Calgary) affiliation, which represents The City’s unions and associations.

APTEA aims to be a strong voice for The City of Calgary and it’s proud, dedicated public servants.

Our Mission Statement
